How to play Captain Commando online

When you start the game, insert a coin by pressing the Select key (V) or the key mapped to coin insertion in the emulator. Then press Enter to start. You'll be taken to a character select screen where you can choose one of four fighters: Captain Commando, Mack the Knife, Hoover, or the ninja Ginzu. Each has slightly different attack ranges and speed.

The core loop is simple: move right, defeat enemies, and survive. Use X to jump and S to attack. Hold the attack button for a few seconds to charge a stronger blow. Press S while jumping for a jump kick. Your special move is performed by pressing S and Z together or a similar combo depending on character; it consumes a portion of your health bar but can clear a crowd. You can also grab enemies by walking into them and pressing S, then throw them. Weapons lying on the ground can be picked up by walking over them. Collect food items and power-ups to restore health.

A new player should focus on learning the timing of attacks and not spamming the special move, since it costs health. Watch out for enemies that try to grab you from behind. The game is tough but fair, and continues are available if you run out of lives. The US version has English text in the menus, so navigation is straightforward.
