Getting Started

Your goal in Burger Time is to complete each burger by walking over its ingredients - buns, lettuce, tomato, patty - which are scattered across platforms held up by ladders. Stepping on a ingredient piece makes it drop down one level; dropping all pieces assembles the burger and clears the screen. Enemies like Mr. Hot Dog, Mr. Egg, and Mr. Pickle chase you, but you can temporarily stun them by sprinkling pepper (press the jump button). You can also drop ingredients on enemies to defeat them.

The core loop is simple: navigate each maze-like level, avoid or stun enemies, and drop all burger parts. A timer adds pressure, and later levels introduce more enemies and trickier layouts. If you get caught, you lose a life; after losing all lives, the game ends. There is no save function, so the challenge is about high score and survival.

Start by moving with the arrow keys, and press the jump button to use pepper when enemies get close. Prioritize climbing ladders quickly and dropping ingredients one at a time, but be careful not to get cornered. Practice makes perfect - once you learn enemy patterns, you can plan routes more efficiently.
