Bestri (Korea)
Bestri (Korea) Overview
Bestri is an arcade puzzle game that originated in South Korea, likely released sometime in the late 1990s. It belongs to the bubble-shooting subgenre popularized by games like Puzzle Bobble, but stands as its own local production. Information about its developer or publisher is not widely documented, and the game appears to have had a limited distribution outside of Korean arcades. For retro collectors, it represents one of many regional takes on the matching puzzle format from that era.
How to Play Bestri (Korea) Online
Getting Started
First, insert a coin by pressing the Select button (V) or your assigned coin key (usually 5 or 6 on EmulatorJS if configured). Then press Start (Enter) to begin. In Bestri, your goal is to clear clusters of colored bubbles from the playfield by shooting bubbles from a cannon at the bottom. Aim with the Arrow Keys and fire with the A button (X).
The core loop is simple: match three or more same-colored bubbles to pop them. Unsupported clusters that are left hanging will fall and be cleared as a bonus. The ceiling gradually pushes down, adding pressure. Keep clearing rows to survive and advance through levels. Because the game is in Korean, menu texts may be hard to read, but the gameplay is universal and intuitive.
For best results, aim for chain reactions by targeting groups that cause large sections to drop. Learning the angle and bounce of the bubbles takes practice. There is no time limit per shot, so take your aim carefully.
