Ashura Blaster (World)
Ashura Blaster (World): arcade Shooter
Ashura Blaster is a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up that hit arcades in 1990. Developed by Visco and published by Taito, it's a straightforward arcade blaster typical of the era. The game originally appeared in Japanese arcades but this world version saw a broader release. You control a single helicopter, and there's no story beyond the basic premise of shooting everything that moves.
How to Play Ashura Blaster (World) Online
Getting started: Drop a coin (press Enter) then hit Start to begin. You pilot a helicopter through side-scrolling stages - actually vertical scrolling upward. Enemies come from the sky and ground; shoot them all. Collect floating power-ups to upgrade your weapon or add a shield. Each level ends with a boss that shoots patterns you need to dodge while unloading everything you have.
If you're playing the world version, menus are in English so you can read high scores and options easily. The core loop is simple: destroy waves, grab boosts, learn boss patterns, and survive. Expect a fair challenge - not crushing but not a walk in the park either. Use the bomb power-up sparingly; it clears the screen but is limited.
