Arabian Magic

You start by inserting a credit (pressing Start) to begin the game. The core loop involves moving from left to right through side-scrolling stages, defeating enemies with your chosen character's basic attacks and special magic abilities. Each character has slightly different range or speed, but all share the same basic controls: the B button attacks, the A button jumps, and combining A and B or using the shoulder buttons unleashes a screen-clearing magic spell that consumes some of your magic bar.

Enemies appear in waves, and some can only be hurt by magic or certain attacks. Red potions restore health, blue potions restore magic, and 1-ups occasionally appear after killing enough foes. There is no continues; when you run out of lives the game is over, so learning enemy patterns and conserving magic is key. The game was originally released worldwide, so the menus and on-screen text are in English, making navigation easy.
