This is a SEGA Genesis game based on the 1990s animated series, Spider-Man: The Animated Series. It came out in the mid-1990s, during the console's peak years for licensed games. The exact developer and publisher are not widely documented, but the game was produced as an official release and distributed in multiple regions. You control Spider-Man through side-scrolling levels, using his web-slinging to swing across gaps and reach high platforms. The core loop involves fighting classic villains from the cartoon, punching and kicking enemies while dodging attacks. Each stage ends with a boss battle that tests your reflexes and pattern recognition. There are also sections where you need to save civilians or disable traps. If you are a fan of the original cartoon, this game captures its look and feel pretty well. It is not the deepest action platformer on the Genesis, but it offers a solid challenge and some variety in level design. Compared to other Spider-Man games of the era, this one stays faithful to the source material and is worth a playthrough if you enjoy retro superhero titles.

The basic attack is the S button, which punches enemies up close. Press Z to use your web-shooters from a distance, holding the button to fire continuously. Your goal is to reach the end of each stage while defeating all enemies and avoiding hazards. Some stages have vertical sections where you wall-crawl or swing across gaps.
