How to play Sonic Forever online

Getting Started Select "Start" from the title screen to begin a new game. The first level is Green Hill Zone, where you control Sonic by holding right to run and jumping over obstacles. Pressing down while at a standstill makes Sonic look at the screen, but this has no effect on gameplay. The core loop involves reaching the end of each act within the ten-minute time limit. Collect rings to protect yourself from enemies - losing all rings causes instant death if hit again. At 50 rings, you can enter a special stage by hopping into a giant ring at the end of an act, provided you reach a checkpoint with enough rings. The special stages use a 3D-like perspective and require steering Sonic to collect blue spheres while avoiding red ones. Since this is a rom hack, there are no save states built in. Use your emulator's built-in save state feature if you want to pause progress mid-zone. The game is English by default, so menus are straightforward.
