Jennifer Capriati Tennis

Jennifer Capriati Tennis hit the Sega Genesis in 1992, a licensed sports title developed by System Sacom. The game is named after the young tennis prodigy who was making waves on the WTA Tour at the time. It arrived during a boom of celebrity-endorsed sports games on 16-bit consoles, bringing a recognizable face to the virtual court. This is an official release, not a hack or prototype. Once you start the game, you select a mode and then take control of Capriati (or possibly a generic player) in matches played on different surfaces like clay, grass, or hard court. The gameplay is straightforward tennis: you serve, rally from the baseline or approach the net, and try to outmaneuver your opponent. Controls cover basic shots: lob, slice, and power shots. Matches follow standard scoring, and you can play against the computer or against another human in versus mode. For a tennis game of its era, Jennifer Capriati Tennis offers a solid representation of the sport, though it doesn't push the Genesis hardware as far as some titles. It's a decent entry for fans of classic sports games or for those nostalgic for early 90s tennis. Compared to something like Super Tennis or Center Court, it has the name appeal but not necessarily deeper mechanics. Still, it's worth a few rallies if you're exploring the Genesis sports library.
