Getting started: When you first boot up Baseball Stars 2, you'll see a team selection screen. Choose your preferred squad from the available options. Each team has different strengths in pitching, batting, and fielding. The game then proceeds with standard baseball rules: you take turns as the pitcher and the batter. Your goal is to score more runs than the computer opponent over nine innings.

On the mound, you control pitch speed and direction using the D-Pad. Pick your pitch type and aim for the strike zone. As the batter, time your swing to connect with the ball. The game uses a simple but responsive control scheme that rewards quick reflexes. Fielding is automated to some degree, but you can move fielders with the D-Pad to chase down fly balls or throw to bases. The core loop is straightforward: pitch, hit, run, and field. There are no deep RPG elements or stat management, just pure arcade-style baseball action. Keep an eye on the energy gauge for power pitches and big hits.
