This is Art of Fighting 3: The Path of the Warrior, the third entry in SNK's classic fighting series. It hit arcades on the Neo Geo MVS in 1996, developed and published by SNK themselves. What you're looking at here is the Korean release of the ROM, which is essentially the same game but with Korean language text swapped in - an interesting regional variant for collectors and emulation fans. The game also saw ports to the Neo Geo AES home console and the Neo Geo CD. Unlike many fighting game sequels that just add characters, this one shook things up: the cast is almost entirely new, with only Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia returning from the previous games.

How to play Art of Fighting 3 - The Path of the Warrior online

When you first boot up the Korean release, you'll see title screens and menus in Korean. The game is still fully playable - the menu layout mirrors the original Japanese version, so you can navigate by trial and error: the first option is usually Arcade Mode, followed by Versus, Options, etc. Press Start to get past the title screen, then pick a mode. The core loop is classic 1v1 fighting: select your character, fight two rounds to win a match, progress through a ladder of opponents, and face a final boss. Each character has a unique set of special moves that rely on quarter-circle and charge inputs. A notable mechanic in this game is the "Rage" system - landing hits fills a gauge, and when it's full your character glows and deals extra damage. Also new to the series is a sidestep dodge that lets you evade attacks while staying upright. If you're jumping into Art of Fighting 3 for the first time, expect a slower, more deliberate pace compared to SNK's other fighters like Fatal Fury, but with heavy hits and a strong emphasis on positioning.
