How to play White Sonic 1 online

Getting Started White Sonic 1 plays exactly like the original Sonic the Hedgehog, so if you have any experience with that game, you already know what to do. When you press Start, you will see the classic title screen, then you can choose to begin a new game. The game starts in Green Hill Zone, act 1. Your goal is to reach the giant glowing sign at the end of each level. Along the way, collect gold rings to protect yourself from enemy hits and gain extra lives at 100 rings. Jump on badniks to destroy them, but watch out for spikes and bottomless pits. The most important technique to learn is the spin dash. Hold down on the d-pad and press the jump button (X) to charge up, then release to blast forward at high speed. This helps you break through walls and accelerate quickly. Since this is a ROM hack, the only visible change is Sonic's white fur and altered palette; the level layouts, enemy placements, and physics are identical to the original 1991 release. There are no new items or secrets to discover beyond what was already in Sonic 1.
