Two Crude Dudes is a beat 'em up brought to the Sega Genesis during the early 90s, originally an arcade hit from Data East. It drops you into a gritty, post-apocalyptic version of New York City where a terrorist group called Big Valley has taken over. The government hires two muscle-bound operatives to clear out the city, and that is where the action kicks off. It is a straightforward, side-scrolling brawler that does not try to be anything more than a fun, over-the-top romp with a buddy.

You take control of one of the two operatives, each with the same basic moves - punch, kick, and grab. The goal is to fight through multiple stages, beating down waves of thugs and mutants. You can pick up weapons like pipes and knives to give yourself an edge, and there are food items scattered around to restore health. The game supports two-player co-op, which is the real way to play, as you and a friend can tag team the enemies. The pacing is brisk, and the action is constant, with no downtime between fights.
