Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist is the first TMNT game for the Sega Genesis, released in 1992. It was developed and published by Konami. Getting Started
When the game boots, press Start to get to the title screen. You can choose between one or two players. Each player picks one of the four turtles: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, or Raphael. They all control similarly but have different weapon ranges and attack speeds. The game is a side-scrolling beat 'em up. Your goal is to fight through each stage, defeating the Foot Clan and other enemies, until you reach the boss.
The core loop is simple: move right, fight enemies, collect pizza slices to restore health, and find special weapons like throwing stars or explosive barrels. Each turtle has a special attack that uses a bit of health but can clear the screen. There are also grappling moves and jump kicks. The game supports simultaneous two-player co-op, making it much more fun with a friend.
New players should remember to use the attack button repeatedly to perform combos, and don't be afraid to use the special attack when surrounded. The game is not overly long; you can finish it in about an hour. There are no continues, but you can select a different difficulty before starting.
