Taz in Escape from Mars: Genesis Platformer

Taz in Escape from Mars is a SEGA Genesis platformer released in North America. It features the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes in a space adventure. The game was published by Sega and developed internally, though specific studio credits are not widely documented. It arrived during the mid-90s wave of licensed 16-bit games. The player controls Taz as he tries to escape from a zoo located on Mars. Levels are side-scrolling and filled with obstacles, enemies, and collectibles. Taz can spin to attack enemies and break objects. The core gameplay involves navigating each stage from start to exit, collecting food items and avoiding hazards. The game incorporates light puzzle elements with switches and doors. While not a groundbreaking title, Taz in Escape from Mars offers solid platforming action true to the Genesis library. Its colorful graphics and faithful character animations capture the spirit of the cartoon. For fans of classic licensed platformers or collectors looking for a complete Genesis collection, this game is a fun, straightforward entry that delivers what it promises: a simple escape adventure with Taz.

How to play Taz in Escape from Mars online

When you start the game, press Enter to skip the title screen and begin. You control Taz using the D-pad to move left and right, and press X to jump over gaps and onto platforms. Use S to spin attack, which defeats most enemies and lets you break crates. The goal of each level is to reach the glowing exit portal while collecting food items for points. The Mars zoo is filled with traps, moving platforms, and locked doors that require keys. Taz can eat certain food to recover health - watch your life bar at the top. Some enemies drop items when spun. If you get stuck, explore every path: there are often hidden areas with extra lives. The game saves progress via passwords shown between levels, so write them down.
