Super Volley Ball (USA) is a SEGA Genesis port of the 1989 arcade volleyball game originally developed by V-System. Published by Sega for the North American market in 1991, this version brought the fast-paced two-on-two volleyball action home. The player controls one of two beach volleyball players on each side. Matches are quick, best-of-three sets. You move your athlete with the D-pad, jump with one button, and swing with another. How to Play Super Volley Ball (USA) Online
Getting Started
Launch the game and you'll see a title screen. Press Enter to start. Choose between a one-player match against the computer or a two-player versus mode. Once selected, the match begins immediately with a coin toss to decide who serves first.
Your goal is to score points by making the ball hit the ground on the opponent's side. Use the D-pad to move your player around your side of the court. Press X (jump) and then S (attack) while in the air to spike the ball. Time your jump so you meet the ball at the right height. Blocking is done by jumping in front of the opponent's spike - try to anticipate their aim.
The game follows standard volleyball rules: first to 15 points with at least a two-point lead wins the set, best of two sets wins the match. There are no time-outs or substitutions. Keep an eye on the ball's shadow to judge its landing spot. If you're playing solo, the computer opponent can be tricky - learn to mix up your shots and don't always spike directly at them.
