How to play Sonic the Hedgehog online

Getting Started

Press Start at the title screen to begin. You'll see a menu where you can choose to start a new game or select a level (if the hack includes level select). Use the D-Pad to highlight your choice and press X (A button) to confirm. The game then drops you into Green Hill Zone Act 1.

Your main objective is to run to the right, collecting rings and stomping on badniks (robot enemies) by jumping on them. Hold down the B button (S key) to spin dash in place, then release to blast forward at high speed. Watch out for spikes, pits, and the dreaded water in Labyrinth Zone. Reaching the end of each act triggers a signpost that stops the timer and tallies your score.

There are no special moves beyond the spin dash, jump, and running. The controls are simple: move with arrow keys, jump with X, and run/spin dash with S. If you lose all your rings, one more hit costs you a life. The game ends when all lives are gone, but you can continue by pressing Start on the game over screen.
