How to play Sonic the Hedgehog online

Getting Started

This hack replaces Sonic with Tails, so you control the two-tailed fox through the same Green Hill Zone, Marble Zone, and beyond. The goal remains simple: run from left to right, avoid spikes and pits, collect rings for protection, and reach the end of each act. At the end of each zone, you face Dr. Robotnik in a boss fight.

Tails has a unique ability that Sonic lacks: by pressing the jump button again while in the air, he can fly for a short time. This lets you reach higher platforms or extend jumps slightly, which can open new paths or let you bypass some obstacles. Use it sparingly because the flight time is limited and recharges only when you land.

There are no special stages or chaos emeralds in this hack - the objective is purely to clear each act and beat Robotnik. The game handles identically to the original aside from Tails' flight, so veterans will feel right at home. Just pick a zone from the title screen and start running.
