How to play Sonic The Hedgehog 1 Remix online

Getting Started

Fire up the ROM in your browser emulator and press Enter to start. You will see the classic title screen - press Start again to begin playing as Sonic. The objective is simple: reach the end of each act while avoiding or jumping on enemies and collecting rings. Rings are your only defense; if you get hit without any rings, you lose a life.

Because this is a remix, the level layouts differ from the original. Do not expect the same paths, loop-de-loops, or secret areas. You will need to explore and adapt. Watch out for spikes, bottomless pits, and robot patrols. The core loop remains running right, gathering momentum, and using spin jumps to defeat badniks. If you die, you restart from the beginning of the act, not from a checkpoint (checkpoints are present but reset on death). Keep an eye on the timer - you have ten minutes per act, and running out costs a life.
