Sonic Compilation (Europe)
Sonic Compilation (Europe) Overview
Sonic Compilation (Europe) is a SEGA Genesis cartridge that bundles three classic games into one package. Released in 1995, this compilation was known across the Atlantic as Sonic Classics 3 in 1. Published by Sega, it collects Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and the oddball puzzle game Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. For European fans who didn't pick up the original cartridges individually, this was a convenient way to grab three distinct experiences on one piece of plastic.
How to Play Sonic Compilation (Europe) Online
Getting Started
When you boot up Sonic Compilation, you are greeted by a menu that lets you pick one of the three included games. Start with Sonic the Hedgehog or Sonic 2 if you want classic platforming: run right, collect rings, stomp enemies, and reach the end of each zone. Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine is a puzzle game where you drop colored beans to match lines and clear the board, similar to Puyo Puyo.
The core loop depends on which game you choose. In the Sonic titles, speed and platforming skill are key; you can hold down the B button (S key) to roll into a spin dash in Sonic 2. In Mean Bean Machine, you must think ahead and set up chain combos to overwhelm the AI opponent. No saves are built into this cartridge, so play through each game in one sitting or use the emulator's save state feature if available.
