Sonic 2 - Multiple Sonics

The core gameplay remains identical to Sonic the Hedgehog 2. You control Sonic as he runs through side-scrolling levels, collecting rings, defeating enemies by jumping on them, and reaching the goal sign at the end of each act. The key difference in this hack is that your character is duplicated or accompanied by additional Sonics on screen, though how they behave depends on the hack version. In most cases these extra Sonics follow the same movement as the player or act as visual duplicates rather than adding new control options.

To start playing simply load the ROM in your emulator and press Enter to start the game. Use the arrow keys to move and the S button to spin dash (hold down on the ground then press S). The A button performs a jump. Watch out for spikes and bottomless pits. The game does not include a save function so you will need to finish each level in one sitting or use the level select code (hold A + Start at the title screen). The menus are in English as in the original Genesis release, so navigation is straightforward.
