When you first load the game, you'll see the title screen. Press Enter to start. You'll choose a character: Sonic (or the Bulls player) or Tails. Collect 50 rings to access a special stage at the end of the level (touch the star post with at least 50 rings). These special stages let you earn Chaos Emeralds for a better ending.
