This hack plays exactly like the original Sonic the Hedgehog. Press Start (Enter) to begin a new game from the title screen. Use the arrow keys to move Silver Sonic left or right and to duck in narrow passages. Press X to jump; pressing X again mid-air performs a Spin Dash if you have enough speed built up. The goal of each act is to reach the giant ring signpost at the end.
Since the game is based on Sonic 1, there is no save function. You must finish all three acts of a zone in one sitting to see the ending. The hack does not alter the level layouts, so any strategy guide for the original game applies here. Keep an eye on rings - if you get hit while carrying zero rings, you lose a life. Collect 100 rings for an extra life. The special stages are accessed by jumping into the giant rings found in certain acts; they are unchanged from the original.
