Getting Started

When you first launch the game, you are greeted with menus entirely in Japanese. Look for the option that starts a new game - it is usually the first option after the title screen. You can select a golfer and then choose a course to play on. The game follows standard golf rules: you take turns hitting a ball from tee to green, trying to complete each hole in as few strokes as possible.

The core loop involves selecting a club (ranging from driver to putter), setting your aim using the D-Pad, and then executing a swing by pressing the A button to start a power meter, then pressing it again to set power and again for accuracy (a typical three-click system). The B button cancels or goes back in menus. Pay attention to wind direction and terrain slopes - they affect where your ball lands.

Because the menus are in Japanese, you might need to experiment or look up a translation guide if you get stuck. The gameplay itself is straightforward once you get past the language barrier. Save your progress if the game offers it; many T&E Soft golf games did. Practice on easier courses first to get a feel for the swing mechanics.
