Unofficial ROM hack. The notes below come from community sources and have not been verified against the patch itself, so levels, mechanics and features may differ from what is described.

Mortal Kombat Revelations is a fan-made ROM hack for the SEGA Genesis that builds on the existing Mortal Kombat engine. It's not an official release from Midway or any commercial developer. The exact origin and creator aren't widely documented, but it circulated on fan sites and emulation archives in the late 2000s or early 2010s. The hack reuses sprites and code from earlier Genesis MK games, presumably modified to add characters, stages, or moves not found in the original titles. As a Genesis hack, it retains the 16-bit pixel art and digitized graphics style that defined the series on that console.

How to play Mortal Kombat Revelations online

Most fighting games of this era require a combination of directional inputs and attack buttons to execute special moves. Start by selecting a character from the roster, likely using the D-Pad and A button to confirm. The core gameplay loop is identical to standard Mortal Kombat: two fighters face off in best-of-three rounds, attempting to deplete the opponent's health bar using punches, kicks, and special abilities. Blocking is typically done by holding back on the D-Pad. Since this is a hack, the available characters and any altered moves are not guaranteed to follow original MK3 or MK2 conventions. New players should test each fighter's basic attacks and look for modified code that might change inputs for special moves or fatalities. If the hack includes a combination of characters from different MK games, the move sets may feel mismatched.
