How to Play Metal Sonic in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles Online
To begin, load the game via an emulator and press Start to get past the title screen. The game automatically starts at the first level with Metal Sonic. The core loop is the same as any Sonic game: run to the right, collect rings, avoid spikes and enemies, and reach the end of the act within the ten-minute time limit.
Important mechanics include the spin jump (press the A button) to defeat enemies, the spin dash (hold B in a crouch then release) to build speed, and collecting 50 rings to access the special stages if you pass a checkpoint with them.
