Marvel Land

Marvel Land (USA) is a 2D platformer that came out on the Sega Genesis in 1991. It was developed and published by Namco, a studio better known for arcade hits like Pac-Man and Ridge Racer. In Europe the game was released under the title Talmit's Adventure, which gives a clue about the main character's name. This is a straightforward, colorful sidescroller typical of the early Genesis library, though it never reached the same fame as Sonic or other flagship platformers. What you actually do is guide a young boy through a series of themed worlds, each split into several levels. The basic loop is moving from left to right, jumping over gaps and onto platforms, and avoiding or defeating the various creatures that get in your way.
