How to Play Knuckles, Knuckles & Knuckles Online
Getting Started
Start the game by pressing Enter on the title screen. You'll see a level select if the hack preserved it, or you may jump straight to Emerald Hill Zone. Use the Arrow Keys to move left and right, and press X to jump. Hold the jump button longer for a higher leap. Press S to perform a spin-dash while standing still - charge it briefly for a burst of speed.
The goal in each act is to reach the giant signpost at the end. Along the way, collect gold rings to protect yourself from enemy hits - losing all rings means a single hit is fatal. Break open monitors for power-ups like shields, speed shoes, and invincibility. Knuckles can glide by pressing the jump button in midair (hold it) and climb walls by pressing toward them while in his glide.
After beating the boss at the end of a zone, you advance to the next. There are no major gameplay differences from the original Sonic 2; the hack simply replaces the character sprites and names. If you know how to play Sonic 2, you already know how to play this. Just expect three Knuckles instead of the usual three characters.
