Getting Started

When you start Jurassic Park - Rampage Edition, you pick a character - either Dr. Alan Grant or a Velociraptor - then choose from a list of missions on the map screen. Each mission drops you into a level with a specific objective, like collecting eggs or escaping the island, but the order is up to you.

The core loop involves running and gunning through side-scrolling environments, shooting or dodging dinosaurs while managing limited ammo and health. The raptor plays faster and can climb walls, while Grant relies on a taser and other gear. Exploration matters; you'll find extra lives and weapons hidden in crates or behind obstacles.

New players should know that the mission structure means you can tackle harder tasks early if you're confident, but starting with easier objectives helps you stock up on supplies. Dying sends you back to the lobby with whatever you collected, so prioritize survival over speed. There's no save feature, so you'll want to finish in one sitting or use password codes if you need a break.
