Jeopardy! Deluxe: Genesis Board Game

Jeopardy! Deluxe for the Sega Genesis is a trivia game based on the long-running television game show. Released sometime in the early 1990s, this was the third version of the game developed for the SNES and Genesis. It sticks to the classic Jeopardy formula: contestants answer questions across various categories, trying to accumulate the most cash. As a board game adaptation, it falls squarely into the trivia and television licensed genre, popular on home consoles at the time.

How to play Jeopardy! Deluxe online

Getting Started

Start by selecting a game mode from the title screen. Jeopardy! Deluxe offers single-player against computer opponents, or two-player head-to-head. The core loop is simple: choose a category and a dollar amount from the game board, read the clue, and type your answer in the form of a question. The game includes a keyboard-style input for entering responses.

There are three rounds: Jeopardy!, Double Jeopardy!, and Final Jeopardy!. Each round introduces new categories and higher dollar values. Correct answers add to your score, while wrong answers deduct the clue's value. Daily Doubles let you wager any amount you have. In Final Jeopardy!, you bet a portion of your score on a single clue.

New players should pay attention to the on-screen timer and the buzzer timing - ringing in too early locks you out. The game uses a simple cursor to select squares, and you confirm with the A button. If you prefer a slower pace, adjust the difficulty settings at the start.
