Fire Shark (USA)
Fire Shark (USA) - Shooter Classic
Fire Shark on SEGA Genesis is a vertical scrolling shooter that first hit arcades in 1989. Developed by Toaplan and published by Romstar in North America for the arcade, this home port brought the relentless action to the 16-bit console. As the sequel to Flying Shark, it continues the series' tradition of fast-paced aerial combat and stage-after-stage of enemy waves.
How to Play Fire Shark (USA) Online
Getting Started: Fire Shark drops you into the cockpit of a biplane with one goal: destroy everything in sight. The screen scrolls upward automatically, and you must dodge enemy fire while shooting down aircraft, tanks, and ships. Collect power-up icons dropped by certain enemies to upgrade your main weapon, add side shots, or gain a temporary shield. The game moves fast, so learning enemy patterns and when to grab power-ups is key to survival. Your fighter can also drop bombs by pressing the assigned bomb button (usually X or Z) to clear the screen of bullets and enemies. Use them wisely, as stock is limited. The core loop is simple: survive each stage, defeat the mid-boss and end-boss, then move on to the next. There are no continues, so you must finish the game in one credit.
