Getting Started
When you press Enter to start, you will see the title screen. Press Start again to reach the character select screen. Here you choose between John Morris or Eric Lecarde. John uses a whip and has a more traditional feel; Eric uses a spear and can attack upward while jumping. Pick whichever suits your style - both can beat the game.
The core loop is straightforward: move right through each stage, defeat enemies, avoid traps, and collect hearts to fuel sub-weapons. Sub-weapons are found in candles and include the axe (throws diagonally up), holy water (creates a flame on the ground), and others. You can hold only one sub-weapon at a time, and pressing the Y button (Z key) uses it. The B button (S key) is your main attack. Keep an eye on your health bar - you have a limited number of lives and continues.
Bosses appear at the end of each stage and require patience to learn their patterns. Your goal is to reach the final stage and defeat Dracula. There is no save system, so you will need to finish the game in one sitting or rely on the emulator's save state feature. Take your time, memorize enemy placements, and you will make progress.
