How to play Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse online
Getting Started
When you start Castle of Illusion, you see a title screen and then a short cutscene that sets up the story: Mizrabel has kidnapped Minnie, and Mickey must enter the castle to rescue her. Press Start to begin. The first level, Castle Grounds, introduces the basic controls - move left or right, jump over gaps and enemies, and collect gems and fruit that appear along the way.
The core gameplay is simple: run to the right, avoid or defeat enemies by jumping on them (or using magic stars you pick up), and find the key or door that leads to the next area. Some stages have multiple exits or hidden rooms that contain extra lives or special items. Each world has a boss at the end that requires timing and pattern recognition to beat. There's no save feature, so you'll need to finish the whole game in one session or rely on the in‑game password system - after completing a world, the game shows a password that lets you return to that point later.
New players should take it slow at first. Mickey can be knocked back by enemies and loses a life if he falls into pits or takes too many hits. Jumping on an enemy is safe, but running into one is not. The magic star attack is useful against enemies you can't reach or bosses. Keep an eye on the life counter and look for 1‑up items hidden in the scenery. If you get stuck, try revisiting earlier areas to collect more health and extra lives.
