Getting started with Brutal: Paws of Fury is straightforward. From the title screen, press Start to enter the main menu. You can choose versus mode to fight a friend, or single-player tournament mode where you battle a series of computer opponents. Each character has a set of basic attacks like punches and kicks, plus special moves you can pull off by combining directional inputs with the attack buttons.

The core loop is simple: pick a fighter, then face off in best-of-three rounds. Health bars deplete as you land hits, and the first to drain their opponent's health twice wins the match. The game doesn't have a deep combo system like some contemporaries, so timing and reading your opponent are key. There's no save feature, so you'll need to finish your session in one sitting.
