Getting Started

When you boot up B.O.B., you'll see a title screen. Press Start to begin. The game drops you into the first level with no tutorial, so just start moving right. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage while shooting every enemy that appears. Your robot's arm is a gun, so press the B button (S key on keyboard) to fire. Jump over pits and obstacles using the A button (X key). Collect power‑ups that float around to upgrade your weapon or restore health.

The core loop is simple: run, shoot, collect, repeat. Watch for enemies that come from above or below, and learn their patterns to avoid taking hits. If you die, you restart from a checkpoint, but lives are limited. Keep an eye on your health bar at the top of the screen. The game gets tougher as you progress, with more enemies and trickier platforming sections.

New players should focus on staying mobile and not standing still to shoot. Jump and fire at the same time to hit enemies that are above you. There are no complex combos or special moves, just straightforward run‑and‑gun action. Experiment with different weapon pickups to find one that suits your style. The game is forgiving early on, so use those first levels to get a feel for the controls and enemy patterns.
