Press Enter to start. The title screen and menus are in Japanese, but the main options are straightforward. The first option starts a new game, and you can usually skip the demo by pressing start again. Your ship moves with the D-Pad and fires automatically or with the B button (S key). The A button (X key) deploys a special attack that consumes some of your charge meter.
