Unofficial ROM hack. The notes below come from community sources and have not been verified against the patch itself, so levels, mechanics and features may differ from what is described.

Contra Spirits Ending Fixed is a fan modification of the classic run and gun game Contra Spirits, originally released in Japan for the Super Famicom in 1992. This hack aims to improve the game's ending, providing a more satisfying conclusion for players. While the original Contra series is well-known for its challenging gameplay and cooperative mechanics, this modified version offers a unique twist for enthusiasts looking to explore different aspects of the game. In Contra Spirits, players control elite soldiers battling against an alien invasion across various levels filled with enemies and obstacles. The gameplay emphasizes fast-paced action, requiring players to navigate through side-scrolling environments while shooting down foes. The hack retains the core mechanics of the original game, including power-ups and weapon upgrades, while enhancing the overall experience by addressing narrative elements that fans felt were lacking. This version is worth trying for those who appreciate the Contra series and want to experience a different take on its story. While it may not drastically change the gameplay, the fixed ending provides a fresh perspective that can resonate with longtime fans. Compared to similar titles of its era, this hack enriches the narrative experience, making it a niche but intriguing addition to any retro gaming library.
