How to Play Space Fantasy Zone Online
Getting started begins with booting the game. After the CD boot screen, you will see a title screen in Japanese. Press the Enter key (Start) to proceed. The menu options are minimal - select the first option to start a new game (the second may be a high score screen or settings, but menus are in Japanese).
Once in-game, use the Arrow keys to move Opa-Opa around the screen. Press X (A button) to shoot your standard weapon, and S (B button) to use a bomb if you have one. Enemies drop coins; collect them to build up your money. At the end of each stage, a shop screen appears where you can buy upgrades (weapon speed, extra bombs, shield, etc.) using your coin total. Navigate the shop menu with Arrow keys and confirm purchases with X.
The game progresses through multiple stages, and you can freely choose the order of some stages from the intermission map - this is a unique feature from the original arcade. There is no save feature, so you must complete the game in one sitting. Practice the first few stages to get a feel for enemy patterns and shop purchases before tackling the later challenges.
