Getting started requires you pick a wrestler from the large roster and choose a match type. Most modes pit you against an opponent in a ring with standard wrestling rules: weaken your foe through punches, kicks, and grapples, then pin or submit them for the win. The game uses a three-button control scheme similar to the console versions, with A for jumping or confirming, B for running or attacking, and Y for special actions like taunting or entering a pin. You can also perform signature moves by building up a special meter and then pressing the right button combination near your opponent.
