Race Time is an unlicensed racing game that appeared on the Game Boy Color, likely released in Europe during the console's commercial lifespan. It's a straightforward title from the era when third-party publishers could produce cartridges without Nintendo's approval, so don't expect polished production values or official branding. The game is rare today and mainly of interest to collectors of obscure Game Boy Color software.

How to play Race Time online

Getting Started

Race Time is a top-down racer, a common genre on the Game Boy Color. When you boot the game, you will likely see a title screen then a menu to start a race. Use the D-Pad to steer your vehicle, the action buttons to accelerate or brake, and try to cross the finish line before your opponents.

The core loop is simple: choose a track, race against computer‑controlled cars, and aim for first place. Unlicensed games of this era often lack saving, so progress is usually session‑based. Expect straightforward handling and basic graphics typical of unlicensed releases.

Since the game is in English (Europe region), navigating menus should be straightforward. If you encounter any language barriers, trial and error works well. The challenge comes from learning the track layout and avoiding obstacles, not from complex mechanics.

Race Time appears to be exclusive to the Game Boy Color. There is no known version for other platforms, and its unlicensed nature makes a port unlikely.
