Mega Man Xtreme 2 - Shared Weapon Unlocks

Getting started: Select a save file or start a new game. You'll begin in the intro stage where you control Mega Man X. After the intro, you reach the stage select screen. Unlike the original game, all eight Maverick stages are immediately available, and you have access to every boss weapon from the start. This changes the usual progression where you needed to defeat bosses to earn their weapons.

The core loop remains the same: choose a stage, fight through enemies and obstacles, then defeat the Maverick boss at the end. With all weapons unlocked, you can experiment with different strategies right away. The hack does not alter the controls or level layouts, so the standard Mega Man Xtreme 2 gameplay applies: dash, wall jump, and switch weapons using the select button.

If you are playing the original Japanese version, menus are in Japanese. The save/load options are the second and third options on the title screen. The weapon select screen uses icons, so even without reading the text you can identify weapons by their appearance.
