What is Bust-A-Move Millennium?

Bust-A-Move Millennium is a puzzle game in the Bust-A-Move series, released for the Game Boy Color in both North America and Europe. It arrived during the handheld's twilight years, offering a familiar bubble-shooting formula on a portable screen. The specific developer and publisher aren't widely documented, but the core gameplay stays true to the arcade and console versions that came before. You aim and shoot colored bubbles from a cannon at the bottom of the playfield, trying to match three or more of the same color to pop them. The ceiling slowly pushes down, adding pressure as you clear clusters. Some levels introduce special bubbles or obstacles that change the strategy slightly. It's a straightforward loop but requires quick planning to avoid getting boxed in. Today, Bust-A-Move Millennium stands as a decent portable entry in a long-running series. It's not the most feature-rich version - the GBC screen is small and the pace can feel slower than its arcade counterparts - but for fans of puzzle games who want a quick session on original hardware, it still delivers that satisfying chain-popping action. If you've played any other Bust-A-Move game, you know exactly what you're getting here.

How to play Bust-A-Move Millennium online

Getting Started: Start by selecting a game mode from the title screen. In the main puzzle mode, you'll see a grid of colored bubbles at the top and a launcher at the bottom. Use the D-Pad to move the aim cursor left or right, then press X to fire a bubble. Your goal is to match three or more bubbles of the same color to pop them and clear the screen. The key trick is to use the walls to bank shots, which lets you reach tricky spots. Watch the ceiling - it pushes down after every few shots, and if it reaches the bottom, the game ends. Some levels have metal bubbles that need to be hit multiple times or special bubbles that affect the chain. New players should focus on aiming for clusters that gravity-drop if their supporting bubbles are removed. Try to set up cascading pops for higher scores. If you get stuck, you can use the select button (V) to swap the next bubble with the one in the queue, though this feature may not be available in all versions.
