The game originally came from PopCap in 2009 for PC, but this Genesis adaptation brings the concept to 16-bit hardware for a retro gaming experience.
How to Play Zombies (Europe) Online
Start by selecting a level from the menu. The goal is to stop zombies from reaching the left side of the screen by placing defensive plants on the grid. Collect falling suns by moving the cursor over them with the D-Pad and pressing the A button. Use the B button to select and place plants from the seed packet bar at the top. Each plant costs sun, so manage resources wisely.
The core loop revolves around building your plant army before each wave of zombies arrives. Start with sun-producing plants like Sunflowers, then add offensive plants like Peashooters. As you progress, new plant types unlock. Watch for special zombies with unique abilities and adapt your strategy. If a zombie reaches your house, the game ends. The Genesis version retains the lane-based tower defense mechanics of the original.
