How to play Thunder Force IV online

Getting started is straightforward. After pressing Start on the title screen, you'll see a stage select map. Choose any available stage (you can tackle them in any order). Once in a stage, move your ship with the Arrow Keys and fire with the B button (S key). Collect green weapon capsules to power up your current weapon; red capsules switch between weapon types. Keep an eye on your shield - it can absorb a few hits but needs to be replenished by collecting blue orbs. The core loop is simple: blast everything that moves, dodge bullets, and survive to the end boss. Each stage ends with a large boss that has multiple attack patterns. Remember that you can hold the fire button for rapid shot or tap it for spread. If you die, you lose your weapon level and restart from a checkpoint. A good strategy is to learn enemy patterns and choose the weapon that suits the stage layout. The game offers unlimited continues, so don't be afraid to practice.
