Test Drive II - The Duel

To start playing Test Drive II - The Duel, first select a car from the garage. You can choose between several exotic models like the Ferrari F40 or Porsche 959, each with different speed and handling stats. Use the D-Pad to highlight your choice and press the A button (X key) to confirm. Next, pick a road from the map - each offers a different length and difficulty. Once ready, press Start to begin the race. Your goal is to outrun your opponent, a single rival car, through winding roads while avoiding oncoming traffic and police cruisers. The controls are straightforward: use the D-Pad to steer, the X key (A button) to accelerate, and the B key (S button) to brake. Watch the speedometer and be careful not to crash at high speeds. The first to cross the finish line wins the duel. If you get caught by the police, you lose a life, so keep an eye on the rearview mirror. The core loop is simple: race, win, and unlock faster cars and tougher roads. There is no story or complex progression - just you, the open road, and a single opponent. New players should start with an easier car and road to get used to the handling, then gradually take on harder challenges.
