Unofficial ROM hack. The notes below come from community sources and have not been verified against the patch itself, so levels, mechanics and features may differ from what is described.

This is a ROM hack of Super Street Fighter II for the Sega Genesis, known as Super Street Fighter II - AFK Tournaments. It is a fan-made modification that rebalances the original fighting game, likely with tournament play in mind. The exact creator and release date are not widely documented, but it belongs to the active community of classic Street Fighter hacks on the Genesis. As a fighting game, the core loop involves selecting a character from the roster and engaging in one-on-one battles. The player must use a combination of punches, kicks, special moves, and blocking to deplete the opponent's health bar. This hack presumably adjusts character stats, move properties, or other gameplay variables to create a more competitive experience. The structure remains the same: arcade mode versus AI opponents or a two-player versus mode. For fans of the original Super Street Fighter II, this hack offers a fresh twist on a well-worn title. It is not a major overhaul but rather a tweaked version tailored for tournament-style matches. If you enjoy classic Genesis fighting games and want to try a different balance, this is worth a look. Just keep expectations in check - it is a niche mod, not a full sequel.

How to play Super Street Fighter II - AFK Tournaments online

Getting Started First, load the ROM in the emulator and press Enter to reach the title screen. From there, follow the on-screen prompts to select a game mode. The main options are a single-player arcade mode or a two-player versus mode. Use the D-Pad to highlight your choice and the X button to confirm. Once in a match, control your fighter with the D-Pad for movement, and use the attack buttons (X, S, Z, A) to perform punches and kicks. Combine directional inputs with buttons to execute special moves like fireballs or dragon punches. The goal is to knock out the opponent by depleting their health bar before time runs out. Because this is a hack, some character moves or stats may differ from the original game. Experiment in versus mode to get a feel for any changes. If you are new to fighting games, start with the arcade mode on easy difficulty to learn basic tactics.
