Start by choosing a game mode from the main menu - usually a single round or tournament play. You'll then select a golfer and a course. The core loop involves aiming your shot with the D-Pad, picking a club, then pressing the action button to start the swing meter. Time your second press to set power, and a third press to set accuracy. The wind and terrain affect each shot, so factor those in.

Once you're on the green, the putting meter works similarly but with much finer timing. The game keeps track of your strokes and gives you feedback after each hole. It's easy to pick up a controller and play a few holes, but mastering the swing timing and learning how each club behaves takes practice.
