Getting Started
Press Enter to start, then select your difficulty or game mode if a menu appears. The core gameplay is straightforward: fly through each stage, shoot everything that moves, and don't get hit. Your ship automatically moves forward, so your job is to aim the reticle with the D-Pad and fire with the attack button (S by default).
Pay attention to incoming projectiles and obstacles - dodging is just as important as shooting. You have a limited number of lives and continues, so try to memorize enemy patterns and stage layouts. The game loops through several levels before facing a final boss; each stage has a backdrop with pseudo-3D scaling effects that are typical of early Genesis shooters.
If you're new to rail shooters, start on an easier difficulty to get a feel for the controls. There is no saving or password system, so you'll need to play through in one sitting. The English version has menus in English, so navigating should be no trouble.

Galaxy Force II FAQ
Who developed Galaxy Force II?
Sega developed and published Galaxy Force II. It was originally an arcade title and later ported to the SEGA Genesis by Sega's internal teams.
Is Galaxy Force II considered easy to pick up or challenging?
The game is fairly easy to understand but difficult to master. Its high challenge comes from dense enemy fire and fast movement, requiring quick reflexes and pattern recognition to survive.
What makes Galaxy Force II stand out among SEGA Genesis titles of its era?
It stands out for being an ambitious arcade conversion that tried to replicate 3D scaling and rotation effects on 16-bit hardware. The fast-paced rail shooter action and large enemy sprites were impressive for 1991.
