Fatal Fury 2 (USA) is a port of SNK's second Neo Geo fighting game, brought to the SEGA Genesis home console. This 16-bit version arrived in North America sometime after the arcade original, letting console players experience the sequel without needing the expensive Neo Geo hardware. The game sticks to the one-on-one fighting formula that built the franchise, though the Genesis hardware had to trim some graphical flair and audio quality compared to the coin-op version.
How to Play Fatal Fury 2 (USA) Online
Select your fighter from the roster using the D-Pad and confirm with the A button (X key). Each match is a best-of-three round fight against an AI opponent in single-player mode, or you can face a friend in two-player versus. Your goal is to deplete the opponent's health bar twice to win the round. Special moves are performed by inputting directional sequences followed by an attack button - experiment with quarter-circle and charge motions. The game retains the two-plane system where you can step between the foreground and background to dodge attacks or reposition. Pay attention to the power gauge; filling it lets you unleash a more damaging super move.
