Aero the Acro-Bat 2 (USA)
Getting to Know Aero the Acro-Bat 2 (USA)
Aero the Acro-Bat 2 is a side-scrolling platformer released for the SEGA Genesis in 1994. Developed by Iguana Entertainment and published by Sunsoft, this sequel arrived only in North America. It follows the original's circus-themed antics but refines the formula considerably. The game belongs to that era of mascot platformers that tried to carve out their own identity, though Aero never reached the heights of Sonic or Mario.
How to Play Aero the Acro-Bat 2 (USA) Online
Getting Started
When you start the game, you'll see a title screen with a bright circus atmosphere. Press Start to begin a new game. You control Aero, a bat acrobat, through themed levels like haunted houses and ice worlds.
The core objective is straightforward: reach the end of each stage by running, jumping, and using your special acrobatic moves. Aero can tuck into a roll to attack enemies or break certain blocks. You can also glide by pressing the jump button while in the air, which helps cross wide gaps.
Collect rings and stars for points, but look out for Aero icons that grant extra lives. Each zone contains three acts before a boss fight. Bosses have distinct patterns - observe their attacks and find the opening to strike. If you get hit, you lose a shield but can pick up another from balloons. The game is more forgiving than the first entry but still demands precise timing.
