How to play Ballistix online
Getting Started
When you start Ballistix, you'll see a title screen and then a menu where you can choose single-player or two-player mode. Use the D-Pad to navigate and press X to confirm your selection. In single-player, you face an AI opponent; in two-player, both of you play on the same screen, each controlling a paddle on opposite sides.
The core loop is simple: move your paddle up and down along your end of the field using the D-Pad. Press the S button to fire a small ball toward the large puck in the center. Your goal is to hit the puck with your fired balls so that it travels into your opponent's goal. The opponent will try to do the same to you. Each goal scores a point, and the first player to reach the preset number of points wins the match.
Pay attention to the angle of your shots - hitting the puck from the side can send it in unexpected directions. There's no need to worry about complex rules; just focus on positioning and timing your shots. If playing against the computer, start on the easiest difficulty to get a feel for the ball physics before ramping up the challenge.

Ballistix FAQ
Roughly how long does it take to finish Ballistix?
A single match in Ballistix lasts only a few minutes, but the game includes a tournament mode that requires winning several matches consecutively. Depending on your skill level, completing the tournament might take around 30 to 45 minutes. There's no story mode, so overall playtime is driven by how many rounds you want to play.
In what year was Ballistix originally released?
The game first launched in 1989 on the Amiga and Atari ST home computers. The TurboGrafx-16 version followed in 1991, bringing the same futuristic sports concept to console players.
Is there anything iconic or memorable about Ballistix?
Ballistix is remembered for its unusual blend of pinball physics and air hockey gameplay, a concept that was rare for its time. The TurboGrafx-16 version features colorful graphics and a catchy soundtrack that fans of the system still appreciate. Its simple yet addictive mechanics make it a standout oddity in the sports genre.
